Who is Jacqueline Wong Sum-wing (黃心穎)?

A video from Apple Daily surfaced today which featured famous Hong Kong singer, Andy Hui Chi-on (許志安), 51, making out with an actress, Jacqueline Wong Sum-wing (黃心穎), 30, in a car. Both of the celebrities are attached. Andy is married to Canto-pop Queen, Sammi Cheng, while Jacqueline is dating TVB actor Kenneth Ma.

The footage is believed to be filmed on April 3, as the pair are wearing the same clothes when they attended the birthday celebrations of a mutual friend.

The media scrutiny has been focused on Andy Hui so far because he is the more famous celebrity of the two cheating parties. In fact, for many of us who don’t follow the Hong Kong entertainment scene closely, the first question asked when we hear about the scandal would be “Who is Jacqueline Wong?”

She has starred in a bunch of TVB drama serials, but mostly playing bit roles or support roles with only one second female lead role in the 2017 serial, Provocateur (與諜同謀). She have two first female lead roles coming up in 2019 for the serials, The Maid Alliance (丫鬟大聯盟) and Finding Her Voice (牛下女高音).

No one knows how long Andy and Jacqueline had been fooling around together, but in a sudden press conference today, Andy broke his silence. He apologised completely for his actions and admitted to cheating on his wife Sammi, without going into the specifics.

A solemn-looking Andy Hui apologised for causing embarrassment and pain to his loved ones and claimed that he had a lot of drink that evening of the video recording. He then manned up and said it’s still not an excuse for his behaviour and went on to say that he felt disgusted about himself after reading the news reports.

“From now on, I will be stopping all work commitments until I find my true self. I do not know how to move on from here. I hope to be given time to re-examine myself.” Added Andy.
