Last Sunday, Carlsberg, the Official Beer of the Barclay’s Premier League (BPL), ended the 2013/14 BPL season with a football experience like no other at Everyone’s Home Ground.
More than just a get-together of football fans and consumers, Everyone’s Home Ground was an exclusive and premier live screening event where Carlsberg amplified the premier experience with giant TV screens, deluxe couches and an overall premium experience throughout the concurrent live screening of three matches:
Cardiff City 1-2 Chelsea
Liverpool 2-1 Newcastle
Manchester City 2-0 West Ham United
This was how the event hall in Suntec look like when I went there last Sunday with two friends:
Carlsberg kept their promise on crowd-sourcing what consumers and football fans would like to see and experience at the event. Through online voting via a Facebook app, the top choices were for on-site massage and snacks to go with free flow Carlsberg beer. These all came true:
How premium was the experience?
I counted about as many working staff as there are guests at the event. Carlsberg could have easily seated twice more guests into the same venue, but they kept the size small for the best football experience. There were many beautiful Carlsberg servers sashaying around. The ratio was about one server per sofa couch and the ladies make an effort to remember the names of the guests they are serving. Nice.
I won’t delve into the BPL results. It was a foregone conclusion that Manchester City will lift the BPL trophy this season. It was the goal difference that was interesting. Liverpool had not have such a good run for over two decades. Fans of the Reds were elated and made up the bulk of the guests at the event. The team gave a scare in the first half when Newcastle led with a first goal, but ultimately, Liverpool did not let their fans down.
I went home happy after the games. Thank you for the wonderful Carlsberg football experience! 🙂
