Singapore will become one of the key destinations for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations, with a series of immersive experiences and events taking place at Changi Airport, Jewel Changi Airport and The Kallang this November.
The Pokémon Company announced the Singapore programme earlier this month at a press conference held at Jewel Changi Airport. The celebrations will take place across 7 and 8 November 2026, bringing together Pokémon themed entertainment, interactive activities, shopping promotions and events for fans of different ages.

The celebrations are being organised in collaboration with Changi Airport Group, Jewel Changi Airport Trustee and The Kallang. The programme will include Pokémon RUN 30 at The Kallang, as well as PokéXciting! at Changi Airport and Jewel.

Pokémon RUN 30 at The Kallang
Pokémon RUN 30: Singapore Edition will take place at The Kallang on 7 and 8 November. The interactive Fun Run experience is designed as a themed Pokémon adventure rather than a conventional running event.
Participants will begin by selecting their first partner Pokémon before making their way through a course featuring challenges inspired by the Pokémon universe. These include Gym Battles, encounters with wild Pokémon, Pokédex Search Sheet activities and opportunities to evolve their chosen partner Pokémon.
A Festival Zone will also be open to both registered runners and members of the public, with free admission. Visitors can explore a Time Tunnel tracing Pokémon’s 30 year history, experience zones featuring the latest Pokémon content and meet Pikachu during dedicated Meet and Greet sessions.

The Festival Zone will also feature a Pokémon pop-up store selling special merchandise, while 7-ELEVEN will participate as an official sponsor with on-site experiences and activities. Registered Pokémon RUN 30 participants will receive a special Runner’s Kit, including an event T-shirt sponsored by UNIQLO.
Pokémon Fun at Changi Airport and Jewel
At Changi Airport and Jewel, a separate Pokémon 30th anniversary shopping campaign will run from 3 November 2026. The promotion will continue until 31 January 2027 at Jewel and until 28 February 2027 at Changi Airport.
Shoppers with qualifying receipts from participating outlets will be able to purchase or redeem Pokémon merchandise featuring anniversary designs. The merchandise lineup includes items available exclusively at Changi Airport, exclusively at Jewel, as well as products available at both locations, including plush toys, a thermal bottle and a travel blanket with bag.
The Pokémon activities at Changi Airport will continue beyond the November celebrations. Visitors can expect Christmas themed Pokémon decorations through the end of 2026, followed by Lunar New Year themed decorations in early 2027.
At Terminal 3’s Departure Hall, the Pokémon Experience Zone will offer visitors the chance to play various Pokémon video game titles on Nintendo Switch 2, alongside complimentary Pokémon Trading Card Game trial sessions. Fans will also be able to attend special Pokémon Meet and Greet sessions.
Over at Jewel, visitors can take part in a Pokémon Trading Card Game Quiz Rally across the mall. The activity will feature enlarged displays of individual Pokémon TCG cards, with cards representing all 27 First Partner Pokémon from the nine generations of the original video game series. Participants who complete the quiz will be able to collect a prize.
PokéXciting! at Changi Airport and Jewel
The main PokéXciting! celebrations will take place at Changi Airport and Jewel on 7 and 8 November. The event is part of a larger Pokémon 30th anniversary celebration spanning five Asian cities: Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, Manila and Bangkok.
In Singapore, Jewel’s Forest Valley will host a Pokémon Parade featuring all 27 First Partner Pokémon from the nine generations of the original video game series. Changi Airport Terminal 3 will also host Pokémon stage shows featuring the debut of PokéXciting! Pikachu in Singapore.
PokéXciting! Pikachu is a special version of Pikachu created for the anniversary celebrations, with a different costume colour representing each participating city. Singapore’s version will debut in blue. The character will also appear in Pokémon GO during a related in-game event.
Pokémon GO Singapore
The Singapore celebrations will also extend into Pokémon GO. From 7 to 8 November, players in Singapore will be able to encounter the Singapore exclusive PokéXciting! Pikachu and participate in special content including Timed Research and a GO Stamp Rally.
A cross-region GO Stamp Rally will begin earlier, on 12 September 2026, across the five PokéXciting! destinations. Players can collect five stamps by visiting official event venues in Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, Manila and Bangkok. Each location will feature a PokéStop with a city specific PokéXciting! Pikachu stamp.
Collecting the stamps will also unlock an encounter with a PokéXciting! Pikachu featuring a location specific background. Each city’s Pikachu will wear a different costume colour inspired by its destination.
The Pokémon Company said Singapore was selected as one of the destinations for the 30th anniversary celebrations in recognition of the city’s role as an international destination and its ability to bring together local visitors and international travellers.
With Pokémon first launched in Japan in 1996 with Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green for the Game Boy, the 2026 celebrations mark three decades of the franchise. Since then, Pokémon has expanded beyond video games into trading cards, animated series, films, apps, merchandise, events and Pokémon Center retail stores.
