Sun PhuQuoc Airways Takes Off with Inaugural Direct Daily Flights Connecting Singapore to Phu Quoc

Singaporean travellers seeking a direct route to one of the most popular island destinations in Vietnam now have a brand new travel option. Sun PhuQuoc Airways officially launched its daily direct service between Singapore Changi Airport and Phu Quoc International Airport on 25 July 2026.

The inaugural flight designated as 9G720 departed Singapore and was operated by a modern Airbus A321neo aircraft. This new daily service is notably the only full service offering currently available on this specific route. The flight features both Business Class and Economy Class cabins to give passengers premium options for their travel comfort and needs.

The flight schedule is tailored for convenient travel.

The outbound flight 9G720 departs from Singapore at 2:20 pm local time and arrives in Phu Quoc at 3:05 pm. The return flight 9G721 leaves Phu Quoc at 10:35 am and lands safely at Singapore Changi Airport at 1:20 pm local time.

The launch of this service was highly anticipated by holidaymakers like Mr Yeak Choon Hoon who arrived on the inaugural flight alongside his spouse and a group of friends. He noted his group had wanted to visit Phu Quoc for the past two years but kept putting their plans on hold because there was no direct full service flight available. He highlighted that the launch promotion was irresistible especially since it included complimentary experiences such as the Hon Thom Cable Car theme park water park and access to Kiss Bridge. He appreciated the full service flight experience the convenience of flying directly with a checked baggage allowance and the opportunity to properly explore the island without transit hassles.

This new Singapore service is a major milestone marking the fourth international route for Sun PhuQuoc Airways following successful launches to Taipei Seoul and Hong Kong. Looking ahead the airline will commence flights to Bangkok on 8 August 2026 and is actively progressing plans to expand its international network to Malaysia India Japan Russia and Kazakhstan.

To support this rapid growth the airline plans to expand its fleet to 32 aircraft in 2026 and will introduce Airbus A330 wide body planes starting in September 2026.
