Founded in 1878, Venchi has built a strong reputation for its Italian chocolate making heritage. Their iconic Cremino collection is a hallmark creation, famous for a masterful harmony of three fused layers. The entire concept behind the new Cremino Hour campaign draws inspiration from the aperitivo culture of Italy, focusing on finding moments of balance, pause, and shared indulgence after a long day.
During our visit, we were treated to the Cremino Hour pairing experience, which marries authentic Italian craftsmanship with familiar Singaporean tastes. We sampled Cremino bites alongside the likes of ondeh ondeh, the beloved local gula melaka dessert. The pairing was surprisingly harmonious; the chocolate’s elegant sweetness provided a perfect counterpoint to the caramelised notes of the palm sugar. Other localised pairings include the Venezuelan Milk Chocolate with Jackfruit Chips, Pandan Chiffon Cake with Gianduiotto Pistachio and more. The thoughtful curation turned each bite into a small dialogue between East and West.
Of course, no visit to Venchi is complete without sampling their famous gelato, which was just as creamy and delightful as you would expect from a brand that prides itself on using the finest natural ingredients.
