Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore has partnered with Singapore wellness brand Luli to introduce an innovative personalised wellness afternoon tea experience that blends Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), artificial intelligence, and modern hospitality. Launching in July 2026 at The Lobby Lounge, the collaboration is the first in Singapore to integrate AI powered TCM diagnostic technology into an afternoon tea experience.
Designed to offer more than a traditional afternoon tea, the new experience begins with a complimentary AI powered TCM assessment using Aiteaic, Luli’s wellness platform built around the philosophy of “Food as Medicine”. In under 30 seconds, guests complete a tongue scan using the Aiteaic AI Mirror, which analyses key tongue characteristics to identify their TCM body constitution, such as Qi Deficiency, Damp Heat, or Yin Deficiency.
Based on the assessment, guests receive a personalised recommendation from Luli’s range of herbal wellness teas. Each tea is freshly brewed using Aiteaic’s patented nanobubble high pressure extraction technology, which preserves up to 97 per cent of the herbs’ active compounds while producing a smooth and approachable flavour without bitterness. The complete assessment and tea preparation process takes less than two minutes, offering guests an accessible introduction to TCM through technology and hospitality.
Unlike a conventional afternoon tea where every guest enjoys the same beverage pairing, each visitor receives a tea tailored specifically to their own wellness profile. The collection includes ten functional herbal blends inspired by traditional TCM ingredients, with flavour profiles ranging from floral and refreshing to rich and warming.
Among the featured blends are Ziziphus, Lily and Poria Tea, created to support Qi stagnation with delicate floral and berry notes, American Ginseng, Goji and Chrysanthemum Tea, a warming blend traditionally associated with circulation and vitality, Tangerine Peel and Dendrobium Tea for Yin nourishment with bright citrus flavours, and Malva Nut and Monkfruit Tea, a cooling and soothing herbal infusion.
Guests can further personalise the experience by adding wellness inspired mocktails or low alcohol cocktails specially curated to complement their AI generated tea recommendation.
The afternoon tea menu has also been created in collaboration with Luli, incorporating wellness inspired ingredients into a selection of sweet treats. Highlights include the Ginseng Infused Chocolate 66%, featuring rich chocolate mousse infused with American Ginseng and Chrysanthemum Tea, and Chrysanthemum Chantilly, a light whipped cream infused with chrysanthemum tea and paired with tea-soaked sponge cake for a refreshing herbal finish.
Set against the hotel’s signature riverfront setting, the collaboration transforms afternoon tea from a classic social tradition into a personalised wellness experience. By combining technology, cultural heritage, and hospitality, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore and Luli aim to meet growing demand for experiences that balance indulgence with intentional wellbeing while integrating preventative wellness into an everyday luxury ritual.
The personalised wellness afternoon tea will be available daily from 3.00pm to 5.00pm at The Lobby Lounge. The experience is priced at S$68++ per set for two persons. Guests may add a personalised wellness mocktail for S$12++ per person or a personalised low alcohol wellness cocktail for S$24++ per person.
