Leica Camera AG is introducing a new metallic grey colour option across a selection of its most iconic products, adding a contemporary touch to the brand’s longstanding design philosophy of functionality, minimalism and timeless elegance. The new finish extends Leica’s classic black and silver palette while maintaining the clean lines and understated aesthetic that have defined the German camera maker for more than a century.

The metallic grey finish makes its debut on the Leica M11-P, Leica Q3 and Leica D-Lux 8 cameras, as well as the Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH. lens. Leica is also launching a coordinated range of accessories designed to complement the new colourway and allow photographers to further personalise their gear.
Leading the collection is the Leica M11-P, the first M-Camera to feature the new metallic grey finish. Handcrafted at Leica’s factory in Wetzlar, Germany, the full frame camera combines a full metal body with black control elements for a refined and understated appearance. The camera’s distinctive diamond patterned leatherette covering enhances both its visual appeal and tactile feel while reinforcing Leica’s design heritage. Paired with the metallic grey Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH. lens, available from 11 June 2026, the combination offers a striking blend of optical excellence and sophisticated design. The lens itself features metallic grey lens elements and front cap, complemented by red engravings on the feet and f-stop scales for a subtle visual contrast.
From 16 July 2026, Leica will expand the metallic grey lineup with the Leica Q3 and Leica D-Lux 8. The Leica Q3 full frame compact camera adopts the same elegant finish, with black controls and distinctive red engravings on the lens markings. Built on the same technology as the standard Q3, the camera continues to deliver exceptional image quality, intuitive operation and seamless connectivity for photographers who value simplicity without compromising performance.
The Leica D-Lux 8 also joins the collection in metallic grey, featuring a matching body and function buttons while retaining black dials and controls for contrast. Equipped with its fast DC Vario-Summilux 10.9 to 34mm f/1.7 to 2.8 ASPH. zoom lens, the compact camera delivers impressive image quality in a highly portable form factor, making it an appealing option for everyday photography and travel.
Alongside the cameras, Leica has developed a new range of premium accessories. These include dark brown leather carrying straps and protectors that complement the metallic grey finish while adding a personalised touch. For M11 users, Leica is also offering a multifunctional black leather protector that combines a protective case with an ergonomic handgrip. The accessory features a base plate compatible with the ARCA-SWISS coupling system, allowing photographers to attach the camera directly to compatible tripods without additional tools.
For D-Lux 8 users, Leica is introducing a new cognac leather camera case in addition to the existing black option, along with matching braided black leather carrying straps and wrist straps designed to complete the look.
