Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest T Series smartphones in Singapore with the launch of the Xiaomi 17T Series, which includes the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. The new lineup introduces dual size options for the first time in the T Series while focusing on advanced imaging, longer battery life and improved display technology designed for modern mobile users.
Positioned as an imaging flagship series, the Xiaomi 17T lineup features a triple camera system led by a 50MP main camera and an advanced Leica imaging partnership. Both models are equipped with Leica UltraPure optical design and a 1G plus 6P hybrid Leica Summilux lens structure that enhances clarity, dynamic range and depth of field. The Xiaomi 17T Pro uses a 1/1.31-inch sensor while the Xiaomi 17T features a 1/1.55-inch sensor, both designed to deliver high detail and strong low light performance.
For the first time in the T Series, both devices include a Leica 5x telephoto camera, enabling a wide range of photography capabilities from 30cm macro shots to 10x optical grade zoom and up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom. The system also enhances video recording, with the Xiaomi 17T Pro introducing 4K 60fps cinematic video recording with natural background blur for a more immersive result. Special shooting modes such as Stage mode improve image and video capture in challenging lighting conditions, particularly useful for concerts and live performances.
A new feature called Leica Live Moment expands mobile photography beyond static images by capturing motion and emotion before and after the main shot. This allows users to preserve more dynamic storytelling moments across all rear camera focal lengths. Leica Live Portrait further enhances this experience by combining natural bokeh effects with motion retention, while exclusive Leica watermarks and collage features support social media sharing.
On the Xiaomi 17T Pro, live cinematography features include Ultra HD Live Moment recording in 4K and advanced zoom effects for both freestyle and portrait capture, expanding creative options for users.
The Xiaomi 17T Series also introduces Xiaomi Vision Care, a new eye care display system designed with medical research and adaptive engineering. The display automatically adjusts to lighting conditions and reduces blue light, flicker and motion blur for improved comfort. Both models have achieved TÜV Rheinland quadruple eye care certification as well as Xiaomi’s first TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care certification.
Both devices feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 3500 nits peak brightness for strong outdoor visibility. The Xiaomi 17T Pro supports up to 144Hz refresh rate, while the Xiaomi 17T offers 120Hz. The Pro model also includes 1 nit minimum brightness for improved nighttime viewing. Slim bezels and refined design elements contribute to an immersive viewing experience, with the Pro model using LIPO packaging technology to achieve uniform 1.29mm bezels on all sides.
Design options vary across the lineup, with the Xiaomi 17T Pro available in Deep Blue, Deep Violet and Black. The Xiaomi 17T is offered in Opal White, Violet, Blue and Black. Both models feature brushed finishes, compact camera modules and micro curved edges for improved ergonomics and comfort in hand.
Performance is powered by next generation silicon carbon battery technology. The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a 7000mAh battery, the largest on a Xiaomi global smartphone to date, offering up to 1.88 days of typical use. It supports 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge. The Xiaomi 17T includes a 6500mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge support, designed for full day usage with improved efficiency.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17T Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 built on a 3nm process, while the Xiaomi 17T uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra built on a 4nm architecture. Both deliver upgrades in CPU, GPU and AI performance for multitasking and gaming. Thermal control is managed by the Xiaomi 3D IceLoop System, which improves heat dissipation and maintains stable performance under heavy workloads.
The Xiaomi 17T Series will be available through official Xiaomi online channels including mi.com, Shopee, Lazada and Xiaomi Stores. The Xiaomi 17T Pro 12GB plus 256GB variant is sold exclusively online, while the Xiaomi 17T 12GB plus 512GB variant is available via mi.com and Xiaomi Stores only.
