Snow City, Singapore’s first indoor snow centre, will officially close on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, marking the end of 26 years of operations.
The closure was announced by the Science Centre Board (SCB), which said the decision reflects its ongoing commitment to keeping its attractions fresh, relevant and aligned with evolving visitor interests, while continuing to support its broader science education mission and future development plans.
To commemorate its final months, Snow City will launch a farewell campaign titled One Last Snowfall from June to September 2026. The campaign invites members of the public to revisit the attraction and celebrate memories built over the years. As part of the initiative, visitors can enjoy limited time promotions, including a Snow Play package priced at $19 for adults and $16 for children, representing about 30 per cent savings from the usual prices of $27 for adults and $23 for children. The package includes one hour of snow play and a bumper car ride.
More details on the farewell activities and promotions will be released in the coming weeks via Snow City and Science Centre Singapore official website and social media channels.
SCB also said it will support Snow City employees through the transition. The attraction currently employs eight full time staff, all of whom have been offered redeployment opportunities within SCB. For those who choose to pursue opportunities outside the organisation, outplacement assistance and severance support will be provided in accordance with prevailing Ministry of Manpower guidelines. SCB added that it will also fulfil all contractual obligations with its vendors.
Since its opening, Snow City has been a familiar family attraction in Singapore, offering a rare indoor snow experience in the tropics. SCB said it remains committed to advancing STEM education and delivering meaningful experiences for the public as it continues to refresh its portfolio of offerings.
