Winestone at Mercure Singapore on Stevens has completely revamped its culinary offerings, doubling its menu with the introduction of new items such as a new Brunch Stack, an epic meat platter, among other additions.
Tucked away in the lush urban greenery of the Orchard Road Stevens enclave, this intimate wine and dine hotspot recently hosted us for a media launch in April. The lively evening featured flowing wines, live performances, and a first look at a menu that now features over forty bold dishes. Designed to celebrate a grazing and sharing culture, the new culinary direction combines European foundations with modern techniques and familiar local flavours.
During our visit, a key highlight of the meal was the visually stunning Brunch Stack, a Sunday exclusive available from 12 noon to 2:30pm. The mammoth stack includes a diverse array of bites ranging from Steak and Eggs to Mornay Baked Prawns, Chicken Satay melts, and a rich sambal Mac and Cheese.
For those craving something sweet and tangy, the platter also features prawns with Calamansi Marie Rose, Gochujang Wings, and sweet dessert items like the Matcha Moelleux Mess and Lava Cake.
Priced at S for two persons or S8 for a group of three to four, it a great conversation starter to enjoy over a Sunday brunch while enjoying a drink or two with friends and family.
If Saturdays are more your speed, Winestone also introduced The Longest Meating Ever platter, available during the same afternoon hours.
This epic spread is loaded with hearty portions of Duck Rillette, Crispy Pork Belly, Hamburger Steak with a sunny side up egg, and Thai Beef Noodle Salad. Paired with glazed vegetables, Caesar salad, and rich sauces like red wine jus and bearnaise, it guarantees that the conversation will flow as freely as the extensive wine selection. Much like the Sunday stack, the Saturday offering is priced equally reasonably at at S for two persons or S8 for a group of three to four.
Beyond the weekend exclusives, the expanded menu introduces a broader range of mains and smaller plates.
Signature dishes include the Winestone Signature Burger, Wagyu Flank Steak, Sous Vide Beef Cheek and the Legacy Ribeye, all reflecting the restaurant’s European leaning menu offering. The Discover Local selections add a familiar touch with items such as Chilli Crab Rigatoni and Laksa Kissed Tiger Prawns, presenting Western formats with Singapore inspired flavours. A tableside Pandan Crème Brûlée rounds off the experience with a theatrical dessert option.
In terms of pricing, the new menu is positioned to offer relatively accessible entry points for a hotel dining setting.
Weekday set menus start from for two courses and for three courses, making it a viable option for casual lunches or after work dinners in the area. Weekend specials like the Brunch Stack and The Longest Meating Ever are priced at for two diners and 8 for groups of three to four, reinforcing the emphasis on shared dining.
