[Review] A Pet-Friendly Mother’s Day Dinner Spot With Roast Lechon and More

If you’re still thinking where to bring mum this Mother’s Day, here’s one spot where you can celebrate with literally the whole family, including your fur babies.

At Yuè at Aloft, they’ve introduced a Weekend Roast & Wok Night, together with a Roast & Wok Feast Bundle that works well for a small family gathering. The alfresco area is pet-friendly too, so you don’t have to leave your fur-children at home while everyone else heads out.

We tried the Roast & Wok Feast Bundle (8++), meant for about four people, and it’s quite a solid spread. You get a mix of roast meats, seafood, vegetables and carbs.

The Signature Roasted Lechon (600g) was the highlight of the meal. The skin is beautifully crisp with that satisfying crackle, while the meat underneath stays juicy and flavourful. It’s rich without being too overwhelming, and definitely one of those dishes you’ll keep going back for.

The Cereal Tiger Prawn (600g) brings a more familiar flavour to the table. The prawns are fresh and meaty, coated in that buttery, slightly sweet cereal crunch that most of us already love.

For greens, the bayam with conpoy, whole garlic and superior broth is simple but works well to balance the meal. The broth has depth, and it’s a good break in between the heavier dishes.

The LIMPEH Bee Hoon is packed with wok hei and flavour, giving that smoky, satisfying finish, while the garlic rice is fragrant and pairs well with everything else on the table.

Altogether, it’s a generous and satisfying spread that feels just right for a relaxed celebration without being overly fancy or complicated..

If you want to make things a bit more special for Mother’s Day, you can upgrade the bundle with Singapore-style chilli crab (800g) and deep-fried mantou. During the Mother’s Day weekend, there’s also an add-on for a small cake with a flower and free-flow flower tea for four, which is a nice touch if you’re planning something simple.

Beyond the bundle, their Roast & Wok Night runs every Friday to Sunday, where you can also order roasted-to-order items like lechon, lamb and Irish duck. You can actually watch the roasting happening, which adds a bit more atmosphere to the whole dinner.
