Scoot is broadening its footprint in Indonesia with the launch of new flight services to Belitung and Pontianak, offering travellers more options to explore the archipelago. Operated by the modern Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, these routes will begin in May and June 2026, respectively.
Belitung, a tropical treasure on Sumatra’s eastern coast, is famed for its striking granite formations, pristine beaches, and rich biodiversity. The island is also home to the unique Belitung Tarsier, a nocturnal primate species found only here. Scoot will operate twice-weekly flights to Belitung starting 3 May 2026, with one-way Economy Class fares starting from SGD 99, inclusive of taxes.
Meanwhile, Pontianak, the capital of West Kalimantan, sits directly on the equator and features the iconic Equator Monument, where visitors can straddle the northern and southern hemispheres. The city, set along the scenic Kapuas River, is a cultural hub and a foodie paradise. Scoot’s three-times-weekly flights to Pontianak will commence on 29 June 2026, with fares from SGD 129 one-way, taxes included.
These new services expand Scoot’s network to 85 destinations across 18 countries and territories, reinforcing its commitment to connecting travellers to more experiences.
In addition to new destinations, Scoot will increase flight frequencies across its network to meet growing demand, particularly during the upcoming school holiday season:
Travellers can book the new flights via Scoot’s website, mobile app, and other booking channels. Flight schedules remain subject to government and regulatory approvals or changes.
