The Pokémon Company has confirmed that Pokémon Champions will officially arrive on Nintendo Switch on April 8, 2026, marking a major milestone for the popular battle-focused title previously available on mobile platforms.
Launching alongside the base game is the Pokémon Champions + Starter Pack, a special bundle that includes the full game plus additional in-game bonuses, ideal for players eager to jump straight into competitive action.
Players using the Nintendo Switch 2 will also receive a free performance upgrade, offering clearer graphics and improved visual fidelity. The update is available at no cost and can be downloaded by connecting the console to the internet and installing the latest game data.
In a surprise reveal, The Pokémon Company announced that Mega Meganium, Mega Emboar and Mega Feraligatr, originally introduced in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, will join Pokémon Champions as new Mega Evolutions.
These Mega forms will feature brand-new abilities, appearing for the first time in the series through this title. Players will be able to harness their powerful transformations in battles, further enriching the strategic depth of the game’s competitive ecosystem.
