Korean Air Unveils Next-Generation Flagship Lounge at LAX, Redefining Premium Travel

Korean Air is set to elevate the passenger experience at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with the grand opening of its newly renovated flagship lounge on March 6, 2026. The launch marks a major step in the airline’s commitment to premium customer service and its global brand transformation.

Exclusive Preview Event

Ahead of the official opening, Korean Air hosted a two-day unveiling event starting February 26 at the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Around 200 invited guests, industry partners, and stakeholders toured the new facility, experiencing first-hand the enhanced amenities and design.

A KRW 65 Billion Investment in Luxury

Designed by Singapore-based LTW Designworks, the renovation represents a KRW 65 billion investment and took 22 months to complete. The LAX lounge is the first overseas facility to be upgraded ahead of Korean Air’s upcoming integration with Asiana Airlines, reflecting the airline’s evolving brand philosophy while honoring its Korean heritage.

Modern Korean Luxury Across Two Levels

Spanning 1,675 square meters, 1.27 times larger than the previous lounge, the new facility is now Korean Air’s largest directly operated overseas lounge. It occupies two levels:

  • 6th Floor – First Class Lounge: Features two private suites for ultimate relaxation, an à la carte fine-dining service, and a full-service bar with handcrafted cocktails and premium beverages.
  • 5th Floor – Miler Club & Prestige Class Lounges: Includes an open-kitchen live station concept, locally inspired offerings like Southern California craft beers, a signature Los Angeles coffee blend, and QR-code digital ordering for convenient in-seat service.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony terrace provide panoramic views of the airport, while warm wood textures, premium stone finishes, and curated Korean artwork, including Buncheong ceramics and traditional moon jars, blend modern global design with Eastern heritage.

The lounge also offers dedicated business zones, family seating areas, and premium showers, catering to a wide range of passenger needs.

Strengthening Korean Air’s Global Presence

As Korean Air’s primary gateway in North America, LAX plays a strategic role in connecting Asia, the U.S., and Latin America. The lounge will be accessible to eligible Korean Air passengers as well as SkyTeam premium travelers, offering a signature taste of Korean hospitality abroad.

Following LAX, Korean Air plans further lounge expansions, including the newly renovated JFK lounge in New York, scheduled for unveiling later this year.
