[PROMO Alert] The Best Sunday Plan in CHIJMES Includes Free Flow Wine and Spanish Tapas at The Winery Tapas Bar

If you are looking for a way to beat the pre-Monday blues, The Winery Tapas Bar at CHIJMES has the right fix for you on Sunday afternoons.

Known for its romantic, candlelit atmosphere and extensive wine cellar, this spot is currently offering something almost unheard of at CHIJMES – two hours of free-flow wine every Sunday from 4pm to 6pm with no strings attached and absolutely no minimum spend.

It is an incredible opportunity to sample labels handpicked from their retail collection of over 200 varieties while soaking in the historic charm of the courtyard. To make the deal even sweeter, they have introduced a 2-for-2 Sunday dinner promotion that allows you to pick any four dishes from a curated menu and only pay for the two most expensive ones.

Over the weekend, we dove into a selection that showcased the kitchen’s range. We started with the Gambas al Ajilo ($28), which arrived with succulent tiger prawns sizzling in a fragrant pool of olive oil, chili, and garlic.

It is a classic tapas staple done right, especially when you use the provided sourdough to mop up every last drop of that flavourful oil.

Moving on to the mains, the Scallop Cold Capellini ($28) is an indulgence signature.

The delicate pasta is infused with white truffle oil and kombu, topped with sweet Hokkaido scallops and pescaviar for a refreshing, rich experience that feels remarkably light.

For those who prefer a bit of heat, the Spicy Prawn Linguine ($24) delivers a solid punch.

The pasta is cooked al dente and tossed in a mildly hot marinara sauce that complements the fresh prawns well.

We also explored the plant-based side of the menu with the Verduras Paella ($32).

Instead of the usual seafood or meat, this version uses a rich vegetable broth and seasonal greens, finished with a creamy dollop of aioli that brings the whole short-grain rice dish together beautifully.

While the Sunday deals are the current highlight, the restaurant keeps the momentum going all week with various specials like the $39++ free-flow Tapas Night on Mondays and a massive 1.2kg Tomahawk steak deal on Thursdays for just $98++.

Note that the Sunday free-flow wine is strictly for those with reservations, so be sure to book your spot ahead of time to ensure you don’t miss out on what might be the best value-for-money weekend deal in the heart of the city!
