Homegrown lifestyle brand Sinnkawa is marking its first anniversary in a big way: with international star power, the debut of a brand-new character, and the launch of Singapore’s first permanent Merlion-themed café.
The milestone celebration will take place on Thursday, 12 March 2026, at Sinnkawa’s three-storey flagship store located at 15 Trengganu Street, #01-01/02/03. The event not only commemorates the brand’s first year in business but also signals its evolution from a character merchandise label into a more immersive lifestyle concept.
Adding excitement to the anniversary festivities is the special guest appearance of Thai superstar Ling Ling Kwong, marking her first official brand engagement in Singapore. Ling Ling Kwong will be coming to Singapore on 12 March to grace the 1st Anniversary of Sinnkawa (retail) and for the launch of the new Sun-Tanned Merlion series.
Best known for her breakout role in The Secret of Us, Ling Ling is regarded as one of Thailand’s fastest-rising actresses. Celebrated for her charisma and elegance, she has built a strong regional following thanks to her fluency in English, Mandarin, Thai, and Cantonese, making her appearance a notable moment of cross-border pop culture connection.
Fans will have the opportunity to get up close with the actress through an exclusive online contest. Fifty lucky winners will receive a group photo opportunity with Ling Ling during the event.
To qualify, shoppers must spend a minimum of SGD250 in a single receipt, inclusive of the Sinnkawa Hello Merlion Star Plush Set, which features 20cm plushies of Merlion, Merlina, and the newly introduced Sun-Tanned Merlion. The contest runs from 12 February 2026 (12pm) to 4 March 2026 via Sinnkawa’s official campaign page.
Thirty winners will be announced on 22 February 2026, while the remaining 20 winners will be revealed on 5 March 2026. All winners will be published on Sinnkawa’s website and notified via email.
The anniversary celebration also marks the official debut of Sun-Tanned Merlion, the newest addition to Sinnkawa’s growing lineup of characters. The launch reflects the brand’s continued efforts to refresh and expand its Merlion-inspired universe.
In a significant step forward, Sinnkawa will also unveil Singapore’s first permanent Merlion-themed café within its flagship store. The café aims to offer fans a fully immersive experience that goes beyond retail, blending character storytelling with food, lifestyle, and community engagement.
From a single-store concept to four outlets across Chinatown and Haji Lane within a year, Sinnkawa’s rapid growth highlights the rising demand for locally inspired lifestyle brands.
