Dyson Beauty has unveiled its first dedicated scalp formulation, marking a significant expansion in the brand’s science-led approach to hair health. The new Dyson Amino Leave-In Scalp Bubble Treatment is clinically proven to reduce excess oil by 62% and visible flakes by 88%, reinforcing Dyson’s belief that healthy hair begins at the root.
Designed for all scalp and hair types, the lightweight foaming treatment aims to protect, hydrate, and strengthen the scalp barrier. an often-overlooked foundation of strong, resilient hair.
At the heart of the formulation is the proprietary Dyson Amino11 blend, which combines barley grown by Dyson Farming with 11 amino acids. Barley is rich in vitamins, minerals such as iron and zinc, and antioxidants that nourish hair follicles, improve scalp health, and support stronger hair growth.
The formula also incorporates skincare-grade ingredients including niacinamide and Ectoin Natural to enhance the scalp barrier, alongside caffeine to energise the scalp.
According to Dyson, the treatment delivers:
Dermatologically tested and clinically proven, the leave-in treatment is designed to balance moisture and oil levels while shielding the scalp from environmental stressors.
Global studies consistently show that scalp health is one of the top contributors to healthy hair. Issues such as itchiness and excess oil often signal an impaired scalp barrier. However, many traditional treatments can feel heavy or greasy, discouraging consistent use.
Dyson’s new bubble-to-serum formula addresses this gap. Dispensed through a mesh pump that oxygenates the formula for optimal delivery, the treatment transforms from foam into a lightweight serum that spreads evenly across the scalp without disrupting hairstyles.
To use, simply part damp or dry hair into sections, apply directly to the scalp, and massage in. Around eight to ten pumps are sufficient to cover the entire scalp.
The packaging is NFC-enabled, offering users access to support and inspiration, and refill options are available for the full-size product.
With the introduction of Dyson Amino, Dyson Beauty now offers a full ecosystem of formulations:
These formulations are designed to work seamlessly with Dyson’s advanced hair care technologies, reinforcing a holistic approach that prioritises hair health at every stage.
Complementing the new scalp treatment is the Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer, engineered with intelligent sensors to protect scalp health. The device automatically adjusts heat and airflow as it approaches the scalp, activating a Scalp Protect Mode that maintains a gentle temperature of around 55°C.
Additional features include Pause Detect, which stops airflow when the dryer is set down, and Attachment Learning, which remembers user preferences for different styling tools. Dynamic LED indicators and advanced heat control enable fast drying without extreme heat, helping to reduce damage and improve overall hair condition.
The Dyson Amino Leave-In Scalp Bubble Treatment is available at Dyson Demo stores, Dyson.com, and selected retailers.
A distinctive element of the Dyson Amino formulation is its use of barley grown by Dyson Farming, the UK’s largest farming business spanning 36,000 acres. Established in 2012, Dyson Farming integrates sustainable agriculture with advanced technology, producing crops such as wheat, barley, oilseeds, peas, and potatoes while investing heavily in environmental stewardship and renewable energy.
By combining farm-grown ingredients, cutting-edge engineering, and dermatological science, Dyson Beauty continues to push boundaries in hair care innovation.
