Chinese New Year festivities are set to come alive across Singapore as Allgreen Malls usher in the Year of the Horse with an extensive line-up of celebrations, cultural activities and shopper rewards. From January through early March 2026, the four Allgreen Malls: Great World, Pasir Ris Mall, Tanglin Mall and The Seletar Mall will host vibrant programmes designed to bring families and friends together in the spirit of reunion, tradition and prosperity.
Spanning interactive workshops, live cultural performances, festive markets and generous redemption campaigns, the celebrations promise something for all ages. Shoppers can also take part in the Wheels of Joy lucky draw, where every S$60 spent across any of the four malls, or a minimum S$20 electric vehicle charging receipt at selected Great Charge stations, earns a chance to win prizes including a brand-new Zeekr 7X or exclusive staycations at Great World Residences.
At Great World, Chinese New Year festivities unfold on a large scale from 16 January to 3 March, transforming the mall into a hub of culture, creativity and celebration. The Level 1 Atrium hosts The Spring Edit: CNY Market until mid-February, featuring festive décor, lush floral installations by Ming Sing Flowers and Mosscape, and an array of traditional treats and gifts from local and international brands.
Live performances form the heart of the celebrations, with graceful dance showcases, energetic wushu demonstrations and Chinese orchestra performances presented by schools and cultural groups. Adding to the atmosphere, Strings of Prosperity musical performances take place multiple evenings each week, filling the mall with festive melodies.
Families can also enjoy hands-on activities such as lion dance string puppet-making, fragrance sachet crafting and traditional sugar painting, alongside lucky balloon giveaways and the playful 52TOYS Happy Box Hunt held every Saturday in February. The festivities culminate in The Great Fortune Festival on 21 February, featuring a full day of workshops, performances and a rousing lion dance finale.
Pasir Ris Mall invites families to celebrate with its Spring Festival Event at the B2 Atrium, running from 2 to 15 February. With interactive game booths, a kids’ dress-up corner, festive retail stalls and hands-on cultural workshops, the event offers a lively and engaging way for families to celebrate the season together.
Children can look forward to Lunar Craft Workshops and Roaring Rhythm Lion Dance Workshops, while shoppers can meet Cai Shen Ye and receive festive blessings during his appearances around the mall. A highlight of the programme is the Leap of Abundance celebration on 27 February, featuring student performances, music and dance showcases, and a grand lion dance performance attended by Senior Minister of State Mr Desmond Tan.
Festive shopping is further sweetened with spend-and-redeem promotions, including exclusive Prosperity Chopsticks available with qualifying purchases, adding a practical and auspicious touch to the celebrations.
Tanglin Mall’s Chinese New Year celebrations focus on shared experiences and family-friendly activities. Shoppers can take part in Master the Moves lion dance workshops, where participants learn basic steps and traditional percussion, or join baking sessions to create adorable horse-shaped pineapple tarts, a festive nod to the Year of the Horse.
The mall also hosts a Lunar New Year Market featuring festive décor, florals and traditional goodies, alongside cultural workshops such as calligraphy and personalised craft-making. Complimentary popcorn treats and lively performances by The Amazing ToyBox further enhance the celebratory mood, culminating in a vibrant lion dance performance at the end of February.
At The Seletar Mall, the celebrations draw inspiration from ancient Chinese festive markets, with a Spring Festivities atrium showcase running from 10 to 26 February. Shoppers can explore traditional crafts, create fragrance sachets and immerse themselves in a bustling market atmosphere that captures the charm of traditional New Year celebrations.
The mall also rolls out a series of attractive reward campaigns, including spin-and-win activities, claw machine games offering fortune bags and the chance to win a 999 gold bar, as well as spend-and-redeem promotions featuring specially themed Prosperity Bowls and Plate sets. These initiatives ensure that festive shopping is both enjoyable and rewarding throughout the season.
With its wide-ranging programmes across four distinct malls, Allgreen Malls’ Year of the Horse celebrations reflect a shared commitment to fostering togetherness, cultural appreciation and joyful experiences.
