Japanese Rock Band I Don’t Like Mondays. to Make Singapore Debut with TOXIC ASIA TOUR 2026

Japanese rock band I Don’t Like Mondays. is set to stage their first-ever concert in Singapore, marking a highly anticipated milestone as the group enters the second decade of their career. Presented by CK Star Entertainment, the Singapore stop of the “I Don’t Like Mondays. TOXIC ASIA TOUR 2026” will take place at *SCAPE Ground Theatre on 1 March 2026 (Sunday) at 8pm. The show will also be the band’s only Southeast Asia performance on this tour.

Formed in 2012, I Don’t Like Mondays. comprises YU (vocals), CHOJI (guitar), KENJI (bass) and SHUKI (drums). The quartet is signed to Rhythm Zone, a label under the Avex Group, one of Japan’s leading entertainment conglomerates known for nurturing top-tier acts such as Ayumi Hamasaki, Namie Amuro and global idol group XG.

The band made their official debut in 2014 with the album “Play”, quickly establishing a distinctive sound that fuses stylish rock with funk-driven rhythms and infectious pop hooks. Built around a philosophy of turning everyday moments into something uplifting and celebratory, their music is crafted through a deeply collaborative process, with all members contributing to songwriting and production. Their bilingual English and Japanese lyrics further reflect the band’s global outlook. To date, I Don’t Like Mondays. have released six studio albums, two EPs and more than 30 singles.

Their international breakthrough came in 2022 with “Paint”, which was selected as the opening theme for the globally renowned anime One Piece. The song introduced the band to a worldwide audience, garnering over 18 million streams on Spotify and more than 16 million views on YouTube. Riding on this success, the band has since performed at major international festivals across Spain, Brazil and Argentina, solidifying their growing global presence.

Collaboration has also been a key part of their journey. A standout track from their 2023 album “RUNWAY”, titled “conversation”, features South Korean artist and producer DPR CREAM of the DPR collective, marking a creative partnership long admired by the band.

Beyond music, I Don’t Like Mondays. have cultivated a strong reputation in fashion and visual culture. They operate their own brand, “IDLMs by I Don’t Like Mondays.”, and have collaborated with major fashion labels including Adidas, AllSaints, Emporio Armani, H&M and Versace. The band has also served as ambassadors for British watch brand Henry London, with their fashion-forward sensibility influencing the visual direction of their music and live performances.

For fans, affectionately known as “FRIDAY LOVERs”, the Singapore concert promises an intimate and energetic live experience, delivering feel-good anthems and infectious grooves as the perfect antidote before Monday arrives.
