OPPO Celebrates Global Winners of the 2025 Photography Awards, Showcasing “Super Every Moment”

OPPO has revealed the global winners of the 2025 OPPO Photography Awards, its annual international competition celebrating creativity, storytelling, and the artistry of mobile photography. Drawing nearly 2 million entries from 87 countries, this edition marks the largest in the contest’s history. The winners were honored at a grand finale in Cairo, Egypt, on 18 December 2025, bringing together creators from across the globe.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Winners: Capturing Life’s Super Moments

The 2025 awards recognized 10 photographers with Gold, Silver, and Bronze distinctions for their exceptional visual narratives.

The Gold Award went to boooya for “Dialect – The Fading Voice”, a striking series documenting the fragility of dialect culture. From traditional opera performances to scenes revealing the generational linguistic gap, the project transforms an auditory cultural crisis into visually powerful imagery. Praised for its emotional depth and social significance, boooya received USD 25,000 and OPPO’s latest flagship devices to support ongoing creative work.

Among the Silver Award recipients, Ray Cheung’s “Person from Another Place” captured a young girl’s distant gaze on a bus, turning a fleeting winter moment into a poetic reflection on youth and solitude. Judges highlighted the photograph’s simplicity, tonal balance, and emotional resonance.

The six Bronze Award winners celebrated cultural diversity, including Abdullah Salah’s “Timeless Framing”, which immortalized the centuries-old El Mermah equestrian tradition, capturing a single moment of speed, intensity, and cultural vitality. Collectively, these works demonstrate the humanistic depth, cultural insight, and technical finesse achievable through mobile photography.

Expanded Recognition Highlights Global Talent

The 2025 edition also introduced expanded categories, including Honorable Mention, Audience’s Choice, and Regional Awards, honoring 60 photographers in total. Entries captured everyday life with authenticity, from couples in subways to children at play in India, and families during Brazil’s coffee harvest, showcasing diverse cultures and the universal language of human experiences.

Mobile Photography as a Tool for Storytelling

OPPO’s LUMO Image Engine enabled creators to capture natural light, depth, and detail, reinforcing the brand’s belief that meaningful stories are found in everyday moments. With its third year, the OPPO Photography Awards has become a global platform that not only celebrates distinctive visual narratives but also nurtures emerging creative voices.
