Google Year in Search 2025: Singaporeans Planned Smart, Spent Wisely, and Celebrated Big for SG60

Google has released its Year in Search 2025 results, revealing what caught Singaporeans’ attention over the past year, from AI breakthroughs and blockbuster concerts to major political moments and nationwide celebrations for Singapore’s 60th anniversary. This year’s trending searches reflected a nation balancing global uncertainty with optimism, practicality, and a strong desire to celebrate its heritage.

Singaporeans Mark SG60 With Culture, Food, and New Experiences

Singapore’s 60th birthday was a major highlight, earning a spot as the #10 Trending SG News topic. The much-anticipated SG60 vouchers were also heavily searched, placing #6 in Trending Searches, #3 in Trending SG News, and #2 in Trending Finance Topics.

2025 also saw Singaporeans rediscovering the city with new attractions topping the charts. These trends highlight a strong desire to create meaningful shared experiences in a milestone year for the nation.

General Elections and Global Shifts Take Centre Stage
