The Force has officially landed at Changi Airport Terminal 3. In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the National Library Board (NLB) has unveiled Singapore’s first-ever Star Wars Pop-Up Library, inviting readers to step into a galaxy far, far away from 6 August 2025 to 24 January 2026, 10AM to 10PM daily.
Located on Level 2 near the Skytrain and linkbridge to Jewel, this interstellar experience is launched in collaboration with Disney, with support from Changi Airport Group, and forms part of NLB’s LAB25 vision of creating vibrant learning spaces beyond library walls through its Nodes initiative.
Inside, visitors will discover over 2,000 Star Wars-themed books, including 380 unique titles handpicked by NLB librarians. Whether you’re a young Padawan or seasoned Jedi Master, the curated collection spans novels, manga, cookbooks, and graphic novels.
Featured titles include:
In a first for NLB, the Star Wars Pop-Up Library features a robotic book retrieval and return system. Patrons simply select titles via a touchscreen kiosk, and a robotic arm fetches the books for collection. The same system handles book returns and shelving, enabling near-autonomous operation of the pop-up.
Books borrowed from this pop-up can also be returned at any NLB library across the island. Both physical and digital books are available, and visitors can borrow titles using the NLB Mobile app, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Access is seamless with a valid NLB library card, eCard, or by requesting a QR day pass with a Singapore-registered mobile number or here.
