Leica Unveils Olive Green M11 P Safari Edition Ahead of 100th Anniversary Celebrations

Leica Camera AG has introduced its latest collector’s gem: the Leica M11 P Safari, a stunning addition to the M11 family and the newest chapter in the brand’s storied Safari line. Embodying a legacy that began in the 1970s, this exclusive edition captures Leica’s timeless aesthetic with a contemporary twist.

Iconic Design with a Rugged Edge

The M11 P Safari arrives clad in a matte olive green finish—a nod to the original Safari Editions—with a top plate crafted from solid brass and paired with a matching green leatherette covering. Silver dials and controls provide a sleek contrast, while the omission of the traditional red Leica logo enhances its minimalist appeal. Stylish black controls on the back and engraved Leica branding complete the look of this meticulously crafted model.

Powerful Performance Meets Heritage Style

Beyond its standout design, the M11 P Safari matches the technical prowess of the Leica M11 P. Key features include:

  • Content Credentials Technology: Embeds tamper-proof metadata like camera model, copyright, and editing timestamps into every photo.
  • 256 GB Internal Memory: Ample space for both DNG and JPG formats.
  • Triple Resolution Full-Frame Sensor: Capture images at 60MP, 36MP, or 18MP with stunning detail and dynamic range.
  • Scratch-Resistant Sapphire Glass Display: Anti-reflective coating ensures clear visibility in all conditions.
  • Seamless Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and cable support integrated with the Leica FOTOS app.

Each unit comes with a black Leica carrying strap, packaged sustainably with no plastic and proudly made in Germany. The Leica M11 P Safari is now available worldwide, including all Leica Stores and the Leica Online Store, at a retail price of S$14,200 (including GST).

Celebrating a Century of Leica Innovation

The launch also coincides with Leica’s monumental milestone—100 Years of Leica. In 2025, the brand celebrates a century since unveiling the Leica I at the 1925 Leipzig Spring Fair. As the first mass-produced 35mm camera, it forever changed photography.

Under the theme “100 Years of Leica: Witness to a Century,” Leica will commemorate its legacy with cultural projects, exhibitions, and exclusive editions throughout the year in global cities such as Dubai, Milan, New York, Shanghai, and Tokyo. The celebrations will culminate in June with a special anniversary week at Leica’s headquarters in Wetzlar, Germany.
