ART SG 2025 Opens in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands

The third edition of ART SG, Southeast Asia’s leading international art fair, officially opened today at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

Organised by The Art Assembly and presented by founding and lead partner UBS, the fair features 105 galleries from 30 countries and territories, spotlighting both established and emerging talents. ART SG will be open to the public from 17 to 19 January 2025.

This year’s fair includes diverse exhibits across three gallery sectors—GALLERIES, FOCUS, and FUTURES—offering a rich mix of solo, duo, and group presentations. Additionally, PLATFORM showcases five large-scale, site-specific installations, while DIGITAL SPOTLIGHT highlights works at the intersection of art and technology.

Highlights and Programs

  • SAM ART SG Fund: This year marks the launch of the SAM ART SG Fund, which dedicates SGD 0,000 for acquiring artworks for the Singapore Art Museum’s permanent collection, supporting the nation’s arts ecosystem.
  • Film and Talks: In collaboration with the ArtScience Museum, ART SG’s film program, curated by Stefano Rabolli Pansera, offers daily screenings of video art and moving-image works. ART SG PERSPECTIVES, supported by AXA XL, presents thought-provoking discussions featuring prominent collectors and industry leaders.
  • Partner Activations: UBS commemorates Singapore’s 60th year of independence with a 60-meter tapestry created through community collaboration. Porsche debuts as the fair’s Official Automotive Partner with an installation by renowned artist Red Hong Yi. Other partners like The Hour Glass, MORNING, and Ruinart present curated experiences onsite.

Coinciding with Singapore Art Week, ART SG contributes to a dynamic citywide celebration featuring exhibitions, performances, and activations at leading museums, galleries, and private collections.

ART SG Fair Director Shuyin Yang described the fair as a platform for showcasing Southeast Asia’s vibrant artistic production.

“This year’s lineup is an engaging mix of artistic mediums that address pressing cultural issues and creative practices,” shared Yang.
