Tourism Australia is expanding its efforts to attract Muslim travellers in Indonesia with the launch of its first-ever Muslim consortium of travel agencies. This initiative aims to offer tailored tour packages and itineraries featuring Muslim-friendly experiences across Australia, catering to the growing demand for halal tourism.
The newly formed consortium includes four travel partners in Indonesia: AntaVaya Umroh, As-Salam by Dwidaya Tour, Cheria Holiday, and Ramah Umroh & Halal Tour. Together, they have curated a diverse range of itineraries designed for different travel styles, seasons, and destinations—both popular and lesser-known.
From stargazing in the Blue Mountains to meeting the adorable alpacas of Port Stephens, riding the historic Puffing Billy in Melbourne, stepping back in time at Ballarat’s Sovereign Hill, cruising along Sydney Harbour, or indulging in a shopping spree at Chadstone Shopping Centre, the itineraries promise a unique blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation.
These trips are set to depart on 19 February, 2 April, 23 April, and 28 May 2025, starting at IDR 32,888JT, with flights provided by Qantas Airways, the official airline partner.
Tourism Australia has been promoting Muslim-friendly travel experiences for over 20 years, working closely with travel guides, media programs, and partners who specialise in halal tourism. The launch of this consortium reinforces its commitment to offering seamless and enjoyable holidays for Muslim travellers.
