On May 26th, 2024, 32-year-old Baskar Kalithash, an Indian national working in Singapore, suffered a life-threatening fall from the 4th floor of his dormitory. The tragic accident left him with multiple fractures and a severe spinal injury, requiring emergency surgery and a tracheostomy. Baskar’s condition remains critical, and he is currently in a high-dependency ward at National University Hospital (NUH), unable to speak or walk.
Despite undergoing urgent medical interventions, Baskar faces a long road to recovery, including at least six weeks of intensive rehabilitation. His medical expenses have already soared to SGD 180,000, with insurance covering only SGD 60,000, leaving a significant financial gap.
Donations are being managed by Give.Asia to help cover Baskar’s ongoing treatment and rehabilitation costs. Your support can make a crucial difference in his fight to regain mobility and independence.
Every contribution counts in helping Baskar rebuild his life.
