Celebrating 11 Years of NOX – Dine in the Dark: A Tribute to Inclusivity and Culinary Brilliance

NOX – Dine in the Dark, one of Singapore’s most distinctive restaurants, is celebrating its 11th anniversary. Renowned for its unique dining experience where meals are served by blind waiters in complete darkness, NOX has been a pioneer in raising awareness about the visually impaired community while offering an extraordinary culinary journey.

A Decade of Empowerment and Innovation

Since its opening in 2011, NOX – Dine in the Dark has been dedicated to providing employment and empowerment opportunities for the visually impaired. By immersing guests in a dining experience devoid of sight, NOX highlights the incredible capabilities of individuals with visual impairments, allowing patrons to appreciate food through heightened senses of taste, smell, and touch.

Anniversary Celebrations and Special Menu

In honor of its 11th anniversary, NOX is introducing a special month-long menu called “Diner’s Top 12.” Throughout September, guests can enjoy a curated selection of the top 12 dishes that have been most loved by diners over the years. This menu showcases NOX’s culinary excellence and innovation, offering a taste of the restaurant’s best creations.

On the anniversary day itself, September 28th, NOX invites guests to join in the festivities with an exclusive special: all cocktails, mocktails, wines, and beers will be priced at just S$11++, providing a perfect opportunity to toast to 11 years of unforgettable experiences.

Unique Dining Features at NOX – Dine in the Dark

  1. 3-Course Mystery Menu: NOX offers a Modern European menu with 4 appetizers, 4 mains, and 4 desserts, all kept a mystery to diners. The menu changes every two months, ensuring a fresh and exciting experience for both new and returning guests.
  2. Blind Mixology and Wine Tasting: Enhance your dining experience with a blind pairing of expertly crafted cocktails, mocktails, or wines, designed to complement the flavors of the mystery menu.
  3. Singapore’s Only Pitch-Black Dining Room: Dining in complete darkness intensifies the senses, providing an unparalleled culinary adventure that focuses solely on taste, smell, and touch.
  4. Visually Impaired Hosts: Trained and visually impaired hosts guide guests through their dining experience, ensuring a seamless and enriching journey.
  5. Palate Challenge: After the meal, guests can take a fun and interactive questionnaire to guess the dishes they tasted, adding an element of playful discovery to their experience.

As NOX – Dine in the Dark celebrates its 11th anniversary, the restaurant remains committed to its mission of promoting inclusivity, diversity, and culinary excellence. Join NOX in celebrating over a decade of innovation, inspiration, and unforgettable dining experiences.
