NETS Distributes Complimentary Motoring Cards to Up to 1 Million Motorists

Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS), has announced an exciting giveaway for motorists. Up to one million vehicle owners will receive a complimentary NETS Motoring Card as part of the ongoing On-Board Unit (OBU) migration exercise.

In collaboration with the Land Transport Authority (LTA), NETS will distribute these cards to motorists who have installed or will install the new OBUs in their vehicles. The distribution details are as follows:

• For installations prior to 1 May 2024: Motorists will receive their cards by post starting from mid-June 2024.
• For installations from 1 May to 30 June 2024: Cards will be sent by post within five weeks of the OBU installation date.
• For installations from 1 July 2024 onwards: Motorists will receive their cards at the point of OBU installation.

The NETS Motoring Card is a versatile stored value card compatible with the new vehicle OBUs. It facilitates the payment of Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges and is the only card accepted at all carparks across Singapore. For carparks that have not yet upgraded to a full Electronic Parking System, motorists can easily tap and hold the card for entry or exit without removing it from the processing unit.
