Looking for enriching June holiday activities? Look no further! The Theatre Practice, Singapore’s esteemed bilingual theatre institution, in collaboration with Berries World of Learning School, proudly presents the inaugural Berries Chinese Theatre Festival: Family Edition, happening from May 18th to June 9th. Dive into a world of imagination with two theatrical productions and two interactive experiences suitable for the entire family!

Rediscover Childhood Wonder with The Theatre Practice

For nearly six decades, The Theatre Practice has been at the forefront of arts education, nurturing young minds through its innovative Theatre For Young Audiences (TYA) productions and educational programs. Recognized by the National Arts Council Singapore as a pioneer organization, The Theatre Practice continues to champion play-centric approaches to Chinese language and cultural education.

Musical Magic and Interactive Adventures Await

Get ready to groove with two interactive TYA musical productions! The beloved Here Comes the Breakfast Kakis: Imagine Our Songs! series returns with refreshed renditions of Don’t Catch Me and Going Home. Featuring beloved nursery rhymes and engaging audience participation, this production promises fun for kids, parents, and grandparents alike! Plus, enjoy pre-show arts and crafts activities using foraged and recycled materials.

The festival’s second production, The wee Question Mark and the Adventurer, invites audiences on a nautical adventure with Mai Mai in search of her father. Directed by industry veterans and featuring original music, this highly interactive play-within-a-play is a joyful exploration of storytelling and imagination.

A Day of Artful Participation

In addition to theatrical productions, the festival offers two parent-child experiences for a full day of fun! Join veteran instructor Ang Lay Hoon for Play With: The More We Move Together! Combining music, movement, games, and crafts, this two-hour experience unlocks creativity and fosters parent-child bonding in a playful environment.

Inspiring Generations, One Performance at a Time

Established in 1993, festival sponsor Berries World of Learning School has a rich history of nurturing Chinese language proficiency in children. Their support for The Theatre Practice underscores a shared commitment to inspiring young minds and fostering cultural appreciation.
