PastaMania’s National Day Delights: A Fusion of Local Flavours to Celebrate Singapore’s 58th Birthday

To celebrate Singapore’s National Day, homegrown Italian chain, PastaMania has launched several limited-time offerings, just for the occasion. From 24 July to 31 August 2023, PastaMania is presenting a fusion of local and international tastes, promising a delectable experience that captures the essence of the nation’s 58th birthday celebrations.

From laksa to salted egg flavours, here’s what to expect.

A Celebration of Uniquely Singapore Flavours

Blending local ingredients with the artistry of Italian cuisine, the team at PastaMania came up with a range of uniquely Singapore offerings as a homage to our local food fare:

Baked Laksa Chicken & Prawn Pasta ($12.80 nett) – Al-dente pasta mingles with succulent baked chicken, fresh prawns, and dried baby shrimp. The crowning glory is the rich Laksa cream sauce, coating every strand of pasta to deliver a delightful mix of both sweet and savoury notes. We like this the most all the dishes and would highly recommend it.

Laksa Chicken Calzone ($12.80 nett) – A novel take on a local favorite, the Laksa Chicken Calzone reimagines the classic Curry Puff. Stuffed with tender baked chicken, hard-boiled egg, and a blend of melted Mozzarella cheese and dried baby shrimp, this calzone is fun, hearty eat. This was another of our favourites.

Salted Egg Mala Seafood Pasta ($13.80 nett) – Combining two beloved Singaporean flavors, the Salted Egg Mala Seafood Pasta is an interesting blend of Salted Egg and Mala spices. Dive into a pasta of your choice, enveloped in the unique Salted Egg Mala sauce. The dish is crowned with juicy cherry tomatoes and an ensemble of seafood, including prawns, scallops, and mussels. While the concept is interesting, the contrasting rich flavours did not appeal to us, but for those who like strong flavours, it may work.

Fizzy Pomegranate Refresher ($5.50 nett) – To cool down from the spices, indulge in the Fizzy Pomegranate Refresher. This invigorating beverage is a fizzy soda infused with grenadine sweetener. Zesty lime wedges and a juicy cherry adorn the top.

National Day Promotion Combo ($15.80 nett) – Elevate your dining experience with the National Day Promotion Combo. Choose from one of the mains – Baked Laksa Chicken & Prawn Pasta, Laksa Chicken Calzone, or Salted Egg Mala Seafood Pasta – and pair it with a carafe of the Fizzy Pomegranate Refresher.

Prices are extremely pocket-friendly and reasonable, in line with PastaMania’s positioning as a fast casual restaurant that appeal to the masses.
