Tenkaichi Japanese BBQ Restaurant – Free Flow Wagyu Beef and more from $59.90 per pax

When it comes to Japanese barbecue buffet, the prices at Tenkaichi group of restaurants are hard to beat in Singapore.

Tenkaichi offers one of the most inexpensive premium buffet options in Singapore, with prices starting from S$59.90 including items like free-flow Wagyu Beef and Kurobuta Pork.

The Wagyu Beef at Tenkaichi is sourced globally from countries like Japan, Australia and the United States, with a marbling score of at least 7+. Each platter of Wagyu Beef comes hand-sliced by the restaurant’s chef to retain the quality of the cut.

Other than meat options, the premium buffet also comes with a seafood selection of Hokkaido oysters, giant scallops and fresh sashimi. You can also order from the wider selection of all other items in Tenkaichi’s full buffet menu, including access to their ready-cooked buffet line.

If you love premium meats like Wagyu Beef, this is probably the best value-for-money buffet offer in Singapore whereby you can really stuff yourself to your heart content. If you paid for their premium buffet, our recommendation is for you to order the meat and seafood primarily from the premium menu and only order vegetables, tofus and noodles items from the regular buffet menu to maximise value.

For those who prefer a more budget alternative, Tenkaichi also offers a Deluxe buffet option at an even more wallet-friendly price from just S$29.90. The buffet offers a good selection of meats, but with a smaller spread as compared to the Premium buffet.

Other than buffets, Tenkaichi also offers a variety of the cheapest Donburi lunch sets in Singapore at very competitive prices of just S$10 nett, inclusive of drinks. Its selection includes Chirashi Don, Wagyu Beef Yakiniku Don, Hotate Mentai Mayo Don and Cheesy Chicken Teriyaki Don.

With these rock-bottom prices, there are some compromises of course. Service at the restaurant is friendly and attentive, but kept to a minimal, probably to keep headcount low to pass on the cost-savings. The premium meats are not plated as beautifully as they would have been when they are presented at a la carte restaurants which will easily charge more than twice the price of what Tenkaichi charges. We are okay with these compromises for the cost-savings and it is a great place to go indulge yourself to the max if you like wagyu meat and other premium meats or seafood. After all, for a fine dining experience, it don’t make sense to go for a buffet.
