Next up in the DEFY family comes the DEFY x SG, a first peek into the SG x PUMA collection launching this winter. A bold, daring silhouette which boasts a show-stopping design, works for fierce women who are ready to conquer the world.
Selena Gomez is the perfect embodiment of DEFY. Gomez’s success as a singer, actress, producer and fashion icon makes her an inspiration to millions. Daring, brave, unapologetic and unafraid to defy standards. She is always on the move and needs versatility wherever she goes. The DEFY x SG does just that. Its textured upper shines brighter than your highlighter, but its grayish tones provide an overall subtle look.
The revolutionary training shoe defies all standards of training, bringing a fashion-forward design to the gym or the street. Featuring a fully knitted upper, the DEFY x SG provides sleek lightweight feel. In addition, its strategically placed TPU pieces provide upper support, while PROFOAM gives instant cushion and a high rebound. The DEFY x SG helps today’s women live an active, balanced and engaging life with 360-movement and overarching comfort.
To celebrate this launch and the one-year-anniversary of the relationship between Selena Gomez and the global sports brand, PUMA will donate $100,000 dollars to the “Selena Gomez Fund for Lupus Research”. This fund was created by Gomez in 2017 with the help
of the Keck School of Medicine of USC. The fund helps support lupus research at the University of Southern California.
This donation is important not just to Selena, but to the more than seven million people worldwide that are affected by the chronic autoimmune disease. Currently and unfortunately, there’s no cure for Lupus.
The DEFY X SG and DEFY X SG JUNIOR, priced SGD$169 and SGD $129 respectively will be available September 18th onwards on PUMA.com. The shoes will also be available at MissFit, PUMA Select MBS, STAR 360 and STAR 360 JUNIOR.
