Black Friday displayed incredible records this year. Transactions in Singapore alone increased by 652%, ranking the Lion City #11 in the world. Picodi quoted that this staggering increase in Singapore’s e-commerce shopping is ‘unprecedented.’
Singapore falls behind Finland by 48%, while South Africa ranks as the top spender this year at an unbelievable 16,226% increase. Other Asian countries such as Vietnam and Malaysia also ranked Top 6 and 7 respectively.
According to Picodi’s analysis, Singaporeans spent mostly on fashion, electronics and books, with prices ranging from S$52 to S$96. Singapore’s top e-commerce shopping choices are Zalora, Lazada and FoodPanda, while Amazon and Nike shared the spotlight as top shopping destinations in other countries.
