What to expect at Singapore Coffee Festival 2017

The Singapore Coffee Festival 2017 is taking place on 3-6 August at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Organised by The Straits Times and presented by DBS Bank, the pop-up event features over 50 exhibitors. We headed down on 3 August for the trade preview to check out what’s in store for this year.

What to expect:

You can get fresh coffee, cold brews, pressed juices, wines, coffee machines and even books. Each store has its own unique selling point – for example, Really Really Fresh Coffee imports their beans from communities in Asia. The coffee sold during the festival uses beans roasted on the day itself.

There are also other activities such as creating your own acai bowl, talks, and even yoga for the health aficionados.

With the hot drinks and the large crowd, it might get warm during the festival. However, there is a sunrise deck where you can relax and enjoy the breeze with the view of Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Eye.

The event is spread over two floors of the cruise centre, with separate security checkpoints for each level. Note that the two floors are not connected to each other within the security areas – don’t end up exploring just one level and miss out the other.

The closest MRT station is Marina South Pier station. Brunch is from 10am-3.30pm and Sundown is from 4.30pm-10pm. Tickets are priced from $8-$22. More information is available on sgcoffeefestival.com.sg.
