The second edition of the Singapore Michelin Guide will be released on 29 June at an award ceremony and dinner held at Fullerton Hotel.
The event aims to celebrate Singapore’s culinary experts as the Singapore Michelin Guide enters its second year.
In celebrating this year’s theme of all things Classic, the evening will start with canapés prepared by chef Leong Chee Yeng of Fullerton Hotels’ Jade Restaurant followed by a five-course menu specially prepared by chefs from both local and overseas Michelin-starred restaurants.
The dinner will feature dishes from Chef Seita Nakahara of terra and chef Jason Tan of Corner House, located at the Unesco World Heritage Site, Singapore Botanic Gardens. Both have been awarded one-star in the 2016 Singapore edition.
From the region, chef Tam Kwok Fung of Macau’s two-starred Jade Dragon will prepare a signature dish. Three Michelin-starred Chicago restaurant, Grace, will feature a course by its chef Curtis Duffy.
In the inaugural edition of the Singapore Michelin Guide, 29 restaurants were awarded Michelin stars.
The event will be held one week after the release of the Bib Gourmand selection, which lists restaurants offering affordably priced meals under $45. In 2016, 34 eateries received a Bib Gourmand rating.
