Golden Village welcomed the Christmas season by sponsoring the screening of the movie ‘Goosebumps’ for 100 beneficiaries of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. The children were also given free gifts such as colouring books, umbrellas and goodie bags at the screening, which was held at Golden Village Bishan.
The sponsored screening is a testament to Golden Village’s commitment to bringing happiness to needy members of the community.
“Goosebumps is a GVP-distributed movie that is perfect for all ages. We know that these children rarely enjoy a day out at the movies, so we wanted to give them an after-exams treat. The kids are happy and excited to have this little outing, and we are happy to host.” Shared Bianca Leong, Marketing and Distribution Manager, Golden Village Pictures.
The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund was initiated by The Straits Times in 2000. It aims to provide pocket money that can be spent by children for any school-related expenses. At present, it supports 14,000 students from lower-income families.
