Tony’s Pizza @ River Valley Road

It’s easy to spot Tony’s Pizza when you drive pass River Valley Road. The protruding signboard and decor are just like the many pizzeria you will see in the United States – just that Tony’s Pizza is in Singapore.

The restaurant pride itself on serving authentic New York-style pizza, featuring many furnishings and memorabilia from New York. For the most authentic New York pizzas in Singapore, Tony’s Pizza works closely with Tony Varvara, owner of Elegante Pizzeria in Brooklyn, New York. Tony’s authentic New York style pizza is the inspiration behind the Tony’s Pizza concept.

Tony and his brother bought over the pizzeria when he was just 17 years old and has spent the last 30 years making one of the most popular pizzas in Brooklyn. An Italian, the secret to Tony’s delicious pizzas is in the sauce and cheese which is specially aged.

Tony’s Pizza’s Executive Chef Elvin Chew mentored under the pizza maestro in New York learning the ropes from Tony himself and to bring the most authentic New York pizza experience to Singapore.

The thin and foldable crust is traditionally hand-tossed to keep it doughy. the pizza portion is generously large, loaded with chunky tomato sauce and morzzarella cheese, with 10 different toppings for diners to customise your own favourite pizza.

One slice of pizza at Tony’s is enough for a full meal.

Keeping it the way it is in super-sized USA, portions are all generously large at Tony’s Pizza.

Other than pizzas, the pizzeria also serve sides such as Buffalo Wings that comes in 3 different spicy levels (Mild, Hot and Atomic). The spiciness level is the real deal here. I can handle spicy food, but I found their Mild wings to be just right for me. Makes me wonder how hot the Atomic wings are!

Beverages include ice-cold freshly made Lemonade. Perfect for the super hot weather here.

I brought Rachel and Asher to Tony’s Pizza for lunch last week. Asher loves the pizza and gobbled up one whole slice by himself! The items we sampled:
