Rachel and I had a good brunch together with our friends, Mark and Meiyen at Mimo Kitchen + Bar about a year ago. Somehow, I never got around to blogging about the restaurant until now – when it had already ceased operation! 🙁
I still remember it as the day when Mark and Meiyen revealed to us that Meiyen was pregnant too. Now, their daughter Kelly is five months old while our son, Asher is seven months old. How time flies!
The premise for Mimo has now been taken over by The Marmalade Pantry. It was located at a lush, quiet area in Bukit Timah which also houses the Bukit Timah Saddle Club and the always fully packed Riders Cafe.
We quite like the black-and-white, Alice in Wonderland restaurant decor. We went there on a weekend noon and there wasn’t much people around (probably why it had ceased operation). The peace and quiet was much appreciated; something very hard to find nowadays in severely overcrowded Singapore.
The meal came up to around S$50 per pax. A tad steep, but worth the price if you consider the ambience and settings. The food was pretty decent too.
No point for me providing the address now since the restaurant no longer exist. In any case, it was our pleasant to enjoy a meal at Mimo before it closed down. 🙂
