Alvinology @ Asia Publishing Convention – Day 1 of 3

Arrived in Bangkok at late noon today for the Asian Publishing Convention. As a speaker, I was invited to a networking dinner session at The Landmark hotel. I also need to submit a finalist poster on behalf of omy.sg for the Asian Publishing Awards.

After checking into my hotel, I spend the day fixing my Internet connection and workstation in the hotel room. I then spend some time to prepare my slides for my presentation this Friday on Online Community and Social Media Monetisation.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a pre-paid SIM card and some useful discount coupons for various attractions from the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau when I registered myself with the convention organisers. The package was interestingly named  “Believe in Thailand”.

Anyway, I will be tucking in now as I need to wake up early tomorrow for the first day of the convention. 🙂
