Tip Top Curry Puff @ Ang Mo Kio Ave 8

Back when I was in Anderson Junior College (AJC), I can never resist buying a curry puff from Tip Top, every time I pass by the coffee shop where the stall is located.

The sight of the curry puffs being freshly made on-the-spot and the light, aromatic curry fragrance captivate my senses.

I have not been to Tip Top for many years since. By chance, I passed by the coffee shop a few weeks ago while I was in the area with Rachel and a friend.

Excitedly, I bought three curry puffs – one for each of us. The curry puffs were all freshly baked and pipping hot. I felt great sinking my teeth into the crisp, warm crust as the fresh curry content gushes into the mouth. A brief sense of nostalgia flows over me. For that brief moment, I was that rebellious school boy at AJC again, cutting classes to hang around in the Ang Mo Kio area.

The curry puffs cost just $1.10 each. Quite a steal, relative to today’s rising food prices. The stall is also certified Halal. Hence Muslims can enjoy it too. 🙂
