Botak Jones Newly Launched Daily Set Lunches

Botak Jones stall @ 970A Toa Payoh North

The previous Saturday, I was invited by the folks at Botak Jones to try out their newly launched daily set lunches which started on 30 November, 2009.

As there’s a Botak Jones outlet just beside my office, I was quite excited with the launch as this means more lunch choices for me. 🙂

You can visit the quirky Botak Jones official website to find out more about the new set lunch menu and the restaurant chain itself.

The set lunch costs S$8.50 daily (Main course with soup of the day or salad and desert). Menu items as follows:

Monday - Honey Baked Chicken
Tuesday - Beef Stew
Wednesday - Tomato Chicken Stew
Thursday - Mexican Chicken
Friday - Cajun Fish Stew
Desert, soup and salad
Me with one of the friendly Botak Jones staff
My lunch for the day - a bit of everything from Mon to Fri!

I tried a bit of everything and it all tasted great. Particularly enjoyed the Tomato Chicken Stew and Beef  Stew. I brought my dad to sample the food with me. He’s usually not a fan of western food, but the meat and rice combination works well for him as it’s akin to the Chinese economic rice.

Some may find the S$8.50 price tag a bit steep for a hawker lunch, but the portion at Botak Jones is always huge and it is value for money for big eaters.

  • i've always hated Botak Jones ever since my bad experience with them.

looking at the 8:50dollars price tag is already a killer, and the servings of the lunches looks rather pathetic
