The new robot vacuum combines a high-definition camera, UV light and high-contrast green laser-like illumination to identify stains that may not be visible to the human eye. Its AI-powered detection system continuously monitors floor conditions and adjusts its cleaning behaviour, repeatedly targeting affected areas until the stains are removed.

The Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV can recognise nearly 200 types of household substances and objects. This includes everyday obstacles such as cables and socks, allowing it to make more informed decisions about cleaning routes and reduce the chances of missing areas.

After each cleaning session, the robot generates a detailed Clean Map through the MyDyson app. The map shows where stains were detected and how the machine responded, giving users a clearer picture of its cleaning performance.

For navigation, the robot uses high-speed LiDAR technology that scans its surroundings seven times per second, alongside AI vision to map the home and automatically label individual rooms. Its dual-laser system and adaptive software help it identify and avoid obstacles, including socks and pet waste, allowing it to navigate more effectively through everyday household clutter.

Dyson says the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV delivers 65% more suction pressure than its predecessor. An ultrasonic sensor and AI-powered vision system detect changes between floor types and automatically adjust cleaning performance. When moving onto carpets, the robot lifts its wet roller and increases suction to remove embedded dirt, while maintaining controlled cleaning on hard floors.

Its chevron brush bars and redesigned side brushes are also engineered to capture long hair and pet hair while reducing tangles around the brush bar.

For wet cleaning, the robot features a full-width, self-cleaning microfibre roller supported by a 12-point hydration system. The system continuously supplies fresh water heated to 70°C while removing dirty water and debris, ensuring that clean fibres remain in contact with the floor. The roller can also extend by 40mm to reach areas along skirting boards and clean closer to the edges of rooms.

The accompanying bagless cyclonic dock handles much of the maintenance automatically after each cleaning session. It empties dry debris using 10 Dyson cyclones and can store up to 100 days of debris, reducing how frequently users need to empty it manually.

The dock also washes the microfibre roller with 70°C heated water before drying it with a 55°C hot-air cycle. This helps refresh the roller between cleaning sessions while reducing the risk of mould and unpleasant odours. The dock also manages the robot’s water refilling and recharging.

Through the MyDyson app, owners can view cleaning maps, schedule targeted cleaning sessions and customise zones according to their household needs. They can also set different cleaning rules for individual rooms and access real-time updates and post-clean reports detailing detected stains, debris and obstacles.

The Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV will be available in Singapore from 5 November 2026 at all Dyson Stores and through the Dyson website, retailing at S$1,699.

Dyson will also offer a virtual Dyson Concierge service in Singapore by appointment to help customers with installation and ensure a smooth setup experience.
