Founder Katie Hess will spend approximately half the year in Singapore, using the city as the base for the company’s regional growth. The move also marks the launch of the brand’s Garden City Flower Elixir, a blend made from four flowers collected in Singapore. It will debut locally on Wednesday, 18 November 2026, three days before its release in the United States on 21 November.

The launch will take place at Life Force Flowerlounge, LOTUSWEI’s signature botanical wellness experience, which returns to Singapore for the first time since 2019.

Founded by Hess in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2007, LOTUSWEI has grown an international community spanning 72 countries. Its collection includes more than 300 flowers gathered from around the world, which the brand uses to create flower essence elixirs, aura mists and anointing oils. Before establishing LOTUSWEI, Hess spent more than 20,000 hours working with clients individually.

Singapore is not a new market for the brand. LOTUSWEI established a local entity in 2013 and previously held Flowerlounge events here in 2016 and 2019. Hess was first introduced to Singapore through a Baba Nyonya mentor, and flowers from the island have since become part of the brand’s international flower essence collection.

The new Garden City Flower Elixir brings together four locally collected flowers, selected for the emotional and energetic qualities Hess associates with each bloom. These include Queen of the Night (Epiphyllum oxypetalum), which is associated with success and ease of accomplishment; Tiger Orchid (Grammatophyllum speciosum), linked to effortless action and growth; Skyflower (Thunbergia grandiflora), associated with interconnectedness, collaboration and collective purpose; and White Passionflower (Passiflora foetida), linked to sensitivity, deep listening and heightened perception.

Hess developed the blend around the ideas of collective resonance, effortless action and achieving success without attachment. The formulation draws on more than 25 years of her travels and work collecting flower essences in places including Nepal, Iceland, Costa Rica and Singapore.

LOTUSWEI’s approach to flower essences differs from essential oils. While essential oils are extracted from aromatic plant materials, flower essences are scent-free. The brand uses a solar infusion process in which flowers remain attached to their living plants while water is used to capture what Hess describes as their energetic imprint.

Hess relates this concept to chi, or life force, and believes different flowers correspond to different emotional patterns, including overthinking, self-doubt, restlessness and grief. Her introduction to the practice came in Mexico, where teacher Pedro Lopez Clemente introduced her to the belief that individual flowers possess distinct emotional and energetic qualities.

The products are designed to fit into everyday routines. Honey-based elixirs can be added to water, tea or coffee, while aura mists are sprayed around the face and shoulders. Anointing oils can be applied to pulse points. Hess began developing these products as a way to make the practice more accessible beyond individual client sessions.

The Singapore edition of Life Force Flowerlounge will take place on 18 November 2026 from 6pm to 9pm at The Vortex Space, 20 Jalan Kilang, Level 4, Singapore 159418. Tickets are priced at S$96.

Previously held in cities including New York and Los Angeles, Flowerlounge introduces guests to LOTUSWEI’s approach through flowers, guided exercises and personal reflection. The three-hour Singapore programme will include a talk by Hess, small-group experiences with locally collected flowers, personalised flower readings and flower-infused refreshments.

Each ticket includes a personalised flower reading report, a full-sized flower essence elixir valued at S$66 and a handwoven Ikat fabric wrap.
