JBL has introduced JBL Cove, a new range of whole home Wi Fi speakers designed to bring JBL sound across different rooms while giving users greater flexibility over how they listen at home.

Powered by JBL’s in-house platform and the JBL One app, the new Cove series allows speakers to be used individually, paired for stereo playback or connected as part of a larger multi-room audio system. The range is designed to work across different living spaces and listening preferences, with users able to control their speakers through the app or selected built-in features.
The JBL Cove range consists of three models. The JBL Cove M1, priced at S$399, is the most compact option and is designed for everyday listening. The JBL Cove P1, priced at S$659, adds portability with battery-powered operation and Dolby Atmos sound. At the top of the range is the JBL Cove X1 at S$799, featuring four tweeters and dual woofers for room-filling audio with Dolby Atmos.
Each speaker incorporates JBL technologies designed to adapt its sound to different environments. The proprietary Constant Sound Field technology aims to deliver balanced audio throughout a room, while automatic self-tuning optimises performance based on speaker placement. AI Sound Boost technology is also designed to reduce distortion when listening at higher volumes.
The JBL Cove system is designed to make multi-room listening straightforward. Through the JBL One app, users can create a group of speakers to play music throughout the home. For listening in a single room, users can simply start streaming to the selected speaker without having to manually ungroup or reset the system.
Cove speakers can also be paired with JBL Bar Series MK2 soundbars to create a more immersive home theatre setup. Through the JBL One app, Cove speakers can be added as rear channels to compatible soundbars, allowing users to build a multi-channel Dolby Atmos home theatre system within the same connected setup.
Another feature is Music Follows Me, which allows users to move their music from one Cove speaker to another by pressing and holding the Moment button. The feature is designed to let users continue listening as they move around the home without needing to reach for their phone or open the app.
JBL Cove also supports a wide range of connectivity options, including Wi Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect, with support for high resolution audio. Spotify Tap is also available for one tap access to Spotify through the Moment button.
The system can be set up in three steps and can be used with or without the app for everyday whole home audio. The JBL One app provides additional controls for audio customisation and access to supported music services.
JBL Cove speakers are available in black and white through the JBL Online Store and authorised leading retailers in Singapore. Prices start at S$399 for the JBL Cove M1, S$659 for the JBL Cove P1 and S$799 for the JBL Cove X1.
