NEX is turning up the energy this October with a month of fitness programmes, community activities and rewards as part of its new Your Fitness Playground initiative, running from 9 to 25 October 2026.

The Serangoon mall will offer visitors several ways to get active, including the NEXtreme Challenge, Active Ager’s Day @ NEX and Start2Move by the Health Promotion Board (HPB). The programme is designed to encourage people of different ages to stay active, connect with the community and discover new ways to use the mall beyond shopping.
NEX will also serve as the official venue sponsor for Active Agers Day, organised by the Braddell Heights Grassroots Organisation.
The NEXtreme Challenge will take place on 10, 11, 17 and 18 October at the Event Plaza on Basement 2, from 12pm to 5pm. The beginner friendly challenge features four stations covering Ski, Sled Push, Row and Farmer’s Carry, with coaches available to guide participants through each activity.

NEXrewards members aged 55 and above can participate on 10 and 11 October, while the challenge opens to NEXrewards members aged 18 and above on 17 and 18 October.
To participate, shoppers must spend at least S$20 in a single transaction at selected participating stores, excluding hypermarkets and supermarkets, beauty, hair and wellness services, and education and enrichment stores. After scanning their NEXrewards member QR, participants can visit the L1 Customer Service Counter near Paris Baguette on the same day to select their preferred date and session and redeem their NEXtreme Challenge eCoupon.
Each session can accommodate up to 15 participants and lasts 15 minutes. Slots are available on a first come, first served basis, while stocks last. Participants who complete all four stations will receive a NEXtreme goodie bag containing a waterproof dry bag, quick dry microfibre towel and sports water bottle, while stocks last.
Meanwhile, Active Ager’s Day @ NEX will take place on 10 and 11 October at the L1 Atrium from 10am to 8pm. The event will feature activities, informative booths and performances focused on helping active agers stay engaged, connected and well.
Led by the Braddell Heights Active Ageing Committee, the event brings together ministries and agencies including the Ministry of Social and Family Development, Agency for Integrated Care and Health Promotion Board, along with community partners such as National Healthcare Group and Active Ageing Centres.
Visitors can learn about available community resources through various informative booths, while the stage programme will feature Taiji Rhythmball, musical and dance performances, as well as presentations covering topics including mental health.
Sport Singapore’s Active Health Mobility Assessment Programme will also offer a follow along exercise session and try out. Mental wellness activities include Viriya Community Services’ “Spot the Signs, Start the Conversation”, the “MindSmart Quiz Challenge: Myth or Fact?” and Silver Ribbon Singapore’s “Healthy Life, Healthy Mind: Mental Health Wellness Quiz”.
Caregivers can also attend a CareCompass sharing session on how the app can support caregiving needs, while a Legacy Planning Talk will provide information on planning ahead.
For adults looking to establish a regular exercise routine, Start2Move by HPB will be held on 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 October, as well as 7 November, from 10am to 11am at the Event Plaza on Basement 2. The free six session programme is open to participants aged 18 and above.
The programme introduces participants to different exercises and fitness fundamentals, including upper body strength, balance and flexibility, lower body strength and aerobic fitness. Participants will also learn how to build their own workout. The programme concludes with a graduation and full body workout, allowing participants to put their newly acquired skills into practice.
Beyond the fitness activities, shoppers can also take part in the NEXtreme Lucky Draw from 9 to 25 October. NEXrewards members who spend at least S$30 in a single transaction at participating stores and scan their member QR will receive one lucky draw chance for every S$30 spent, with up to 10 chances available per member each day.
Eligible shoppers can stand to win prizes including an OSIM uErgoh Ergonomic Chair, &joy dining vouchers and eNEXvouchers. Transactions from hypermarkets, supermarkets, beauty, hair and wellness services, and education and enrichment stores are excluded.
The lucky draw will take place on 28 October 2026, with 40 winners set to receive prizes worth more than S$10,000 in total.
