Designed for families with young children, the free weekend programme will feature Halloween-themed challenges, arts and crafts, storytelling, games, trick-or-treat activities and rewards. Families can also stand a chance to win prizes including a family staycation at D’Resort, Wild Wild Wet passes and NTUC Club cash vouchers.

Throughout October, children aged 12 and below can pick up a Great Pumpkin Trail card from the Downtown East E!Avenue Information Counter and follow pumpkin markers outside participating stores. Each participating outlet will offer a different Halloween-themed activity, with children receiving a stamp after completing each challenge.

Activities include a spooky colouring card at Achievers Arts, a Halloween-themed Math challenge at EduFirst Learning Centre and a family-friendly storytelling session at Edventure Learning Academy. At INMERS, children can take on the Floor Is Lava game, while Tayo Station will have a pumpkin feeding activity. Families visiting Upwall Climbing can spot pumpkins on the climbing wall or work together on a crossword puzzle.

Children who collect at least three stamps can redeem an exclusive Trick-or-Treat Pumpkin Bucket from 3 to 31 October. The bucket can be filled with sweet treats such as candies, along with selected vouchers from participating stores at Downtown East.

The month-long celebration will culminate in a Grand Halloween Finale on 31 October, when families can dress up and take part in a trick-or-treat adventure around Downtown East.

Participating outlets will distribute goodies and special discount vouchers during the Halloween festivities. These include Bored Tacos, EduFirst Learning Centre, Edventure Learning Academy, Eminami, INMERS, MIXUE and Tayo Station. Children can look forward to treats such as caramel popcorn, soft serve ice cream and candies, as well as enrichment experience vouchers and other rewards.

Families can explore the trick-or-treat activities independently or register for a free guided Halloween Trick-or-Treat Trail. The guided experience will have two 30-minute sessions at 5pm and 7pm, with limited slots available.

Participants on the guided trail can take part in Halloween activities prepared specially for the Grand Finale before ending the experience with a group photo.

Families are also encouraged to dress up for the occasion and take part in the Best Dressed Costume Competition. Costumes can range from superheroes and fairytale characters to friendly monsters, with prizes awarded for creativity and Halloween spirit.

The winning families can receive up to S$500 worth of NTUC Club cash vouchers, which can be used for dining, entertainment and shopping at Downtown East. Winners will be announced after the event through Downtown East and BYKidO’s social media channels.

The Halloween celebrations will also extend to the participating stores, which will compete for the title of Best Decorated Store. The store with the standout Halloween display will receive S$500 worth of cash vouchers.

The Great Pumpkin Trail runs every weekend from 3 to 31 October 2026 at Downtown East, giving families several opportunities to take part in the activities before the Grand Halloween Finale on 31 October.
