Presented as part of Mid-Autumn Lumière, the initiative sees Paragon collaborate with Raffles Design Institute (RDI) and ART:DIS Singapore to reinterpret the traditional Moon Rabbit through contemporary artworks. The project also receives matching donations from CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), helping to increase the impact of funds raised for artists with disabilities.

The 50 sculptures will take centre stage against a luminous moon backdrop inside Paragon, while another 50 rabbit sculptures will be placed along the mall’s exterior landscaping to create a visual trail leading visitors towards the main installation.

Each sculpture offers a distinct interpretation of the familiar Mid-Autumn symbol, reflecting the perspectives and creative disciplines of RDI students and ART:DIS artists. The works incorporate the artists’ individual painting techniques alongside students’ expertise in areas including fashion design and marketing, jewellery design and product design.

Four of the 50 sculptures have also been designed by guest contributors from Singapore’s public, business, philanthropic and design communities. They are Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Social and Family Development; Mr Ervin Yeo, Group Chief Strategy Officer and CEO, Commercial Management, CapitaLand Investment; Mr Tony Tan, Chief Corporate Officer, CapitaLand Development, and Executive Director, CapitaLand Hope Foundation; and Mr Giuseppe (Joe) Spinelli, Principal and Programme Director of Fashion Design and Marketing, and Jewellery Design at Raffles College of Higher Education.

Visitors will have the opportunity to turn the artworks into a charitable contribution through Paragon’s Adopt a Rabbit programme. All 50 bespoke sculptures are available for adoption at S$800 each, with proceeds donated to ART:DIS to support greater opportunities and inclusion for artists with disabilities.

Shoppers can scan the QR code displayed beside each sculpture or access Paragon’s e catalogue through its website to view the artworks and select their preferred piece. Donations will be made directly to ART:DIS, which is a registered Institution of a Public Character. The organisation will issue tax deductible receipts and coordinate collection arrangements directly with donors.

The sculptures will remain on display until 27 September, giving visitors time to view the complete collection before adopted pieces are collected by their new owners.

The initiative is also part of CapitaLand’s #GivingAsOne campaign. Through CapitaLand Hope Foundation, contributions from adopted rabbits will be matched dollar for dollar, up to S$40,000.

Funds raised will support ART:DIS’ Foundation Visual Arts Programme, which provides children and youths with disabilities access to artistic development and creative opportunities while creating pathways towards greater inclusion.

Beyond the art installations, Paragon is also marking the season with a curated Mid-Autumn gifting showcase featuring Janice Wong, Old Seng Choong and Christofle.
