Shopping on Taobao is getting more affordable for consumers in Singapore, with Taobao Singapore introducing free direct shipping with no minimum spend for a limited time from 7 August 2026.
Under the new promotion, shoppers can purchase any eligible item on the platform and have it delivered directly to their doorstep without paying additional shipping fees. The offer also comes without hidden markups.
Previously, shoppers in Singapore had to spend at least S$35 to qualify for free shipping. The new promotion removes that requirement, meaning even a single item such as a fashion accessory, phone case, home décor item or sports product can be shipped directly to Singapore at no shipping cost during the campaign period.
The move comes as more Singapore consumers turn to Taobao for products that may be less readily available locally. These include niche fashion labels, artisan home décor, speciality sporting goods and electronics that have yet to reach Singapore retailers.
Fashion and home and living products have also recorded strong growth in searches and purchases among Singapore shoppers on the platform. Popular purchases range from everyday items such as Gigt’s athleisure wear and a house branded 100 per cent pure linen long sleeved shirt to larger purchases such as a Norwegian styled zero gravity single seat sofa.
From 7 August, shoppers in Singapore can enjoy free direct shipping on millions of eligible products available through the Taobao App, with no minimum spend required. Shoppers can also redeem additional discounts through the app during the campaign period.
The free shipping promotion is available for a limited time and is subject to terms and conditions.
