Bao Bao is marking Singapore’s National Day with two new menu additions inspired by local flavours, including a limited edition Otah Bao (S$2.20) and the brand’s first ever Braised Pork Rice (S$4.80).
Replacing the popular Chilli Crab Bao as Bao Bao’s latest Singapore inspired creation, the Otah Bao wraps fragrant Muar style otah in the brand’s signature handcrafted bao.
Made fresh daily using a 20 year old natural yeast starter and slow fermented for 12 to 14 hours, each bun is finished with Bao Bao’s signature fish stamp.
Only 150 Otah Baos are available each day, making it one to grab while stocks last.
The Braised Pork Rice marks a new chapter for Bao Bao as it expands beyond its signature handmade baos. Now a permanent menu item, the dish features tender slow braised pork, savoury gravy and fluffy rice, delivering a simple, comforting meal inspired by familiar local flavours.
If you are visiting for the first time, the Discovery Set (S$18.90) is a good introduction to the brand. It includes nine of Bao Bao’s bestselling sweet and savoury baos from its Traditional and Signature ranges, offering a mix of classic favourites and more creative flavours.
The new menu is available now at Bao Bao outlets, including ION Orchard.
