Coffee Meets Bagel Worldwide (CMB WW) has launched CMB WW 2.0, a major refresh of its dating platform aimed at helping users build more meaningful relationships by addressing dating fatigue and encouraging genuine connections beyond endless swiping and casual conversations.

The latest update introduces a redesigned experience focused on helping users have better conversations, make stronger matches and transition more naturally from online chats to real life dates. The launch comes as many singles continue to express frustration with modern dating apps, where matches often fail to develop into meaningful relationships.
The refreshed platform is already showing encouraging results following the gradual rollout of its new user interface in June. According to Coffee Meets Bagel Worldwide, messages sent together with likes have increased by approximately 30 percent, while the average amount of time users spend viewing profiles has risen by 21 percent, suggesting higher engagement and more intentional interactions.

Among the new features is Topic Suggestions, a personalised message composer that recommends conversation starters based on a match’s interests and previous chat context. The suggestions are fully editable, allowing users to personalise every message while providing inspiration for more engaging conversations beyond simple greetings.
Another addition is Headlines, a short biography displayed beneath each user’s name that allows individuals to showcase more of their personality and authenticity. The feature provides an extra layer of information to help users make more informed decisions when browsing potential matches.
CMB WW 2.0 also introduces Real Dates, a feature designed to bridge the gap between matching online and meeting in person. It highlights each user’s dating preferences and suggests activities that align with how both people enjoy spending time together. Like Topic Suggestions, the recommendations can be customised, giving users full control while encouraging more intentional dating experiences. Coffee Meets Bagel also plans to collaborate with like-minded partners in the future to offer curated date venues and experiences through the feature.
Supporting these new experiences is a completely rebuilt matchmaking engine powered by advanced machine learning. The recommendation system continuously adapts to changing user preferences and behaviours, prioritising mutual compatibility instead of relying primarily on one-sided likes or superficial indicators.
Alongside the platform refresh, Coffee Meets Bagel Worldwide has also relaunched its Wedding Sponsorship Program to celebrate couples who found love through the app. Eligible couples can apply for a goodwill sponsorship that contributes towards a meaningful part of their wedding celebration, such as a dessert table, photo booth or late-night coffee and bagels. Participants will also receive an updated Couples Kit and exclusive Coffee Meets Bagel Premium offer codes that they can share with single guests.
Couples who met through Coffee Meets Bagel can contact [email protected] to find out more about the programme. Sponsorships are offered as a goodwill gesture and are subject to eligibility requirements, availability and programme terms and conditions.
